1970 Ford Mustang Out of Storage, Wanneroo to Floreat

Paul needed his Ford Mustang fastback moved out of storage in Wanneroo and home to Floreat, where he is getting it ready to sell. It had been sitting a while, the battery was flat and it would not start.

It is a left-hand drive V8 with immaculate paint, and Paul does not trust it with just anyone. James loves his cars and motorbikes too, so he knew exactly what was at stake: on a car like this, one scratch or a scuffed panel is a real problem for the owner, not a cosmetic one.

A wide tilt tray made the job straightforward. The car winched on straight and level, strapped by the wheels, with plenty of room either side so nothing came near that paint.

On the way we stopped at Autobarn so Paul could pick up the right battery, and back at his place we helped him fit it at no extra cost. Hearing that old V8 start up and rumble after so long was the best part of the day. Paul rode in the cab the whole way, and it was great to spend the trip talking cars with another enthusiast.

A proper tilt tray really did make the difference on this one, and Paul is now a repeat customer: he has since had us move his old BMW as well.
